Leeds Young Filmmakers Golden Owl Awards

Leeds CLCs are proud to announce that in partnership with Artforms and Leeds Young People’s Film Festival we are supporting the Leeds Young Filmmakers “Golden Owl” Awards.

The Leeds Young Filmmakers Golden Owl Awards is scheduled to take place at Leeds
Town Hall in March 2012 and will be a black tie ‘OSCARS’ style event with red carpet,
celebrities, look-alikes and senior leaders from Leeds City Council, Children’s Services and
School Improvement.

The awards will represent the culmination of a film competition open to all schools in Leeds
and will offer a public platform to celebrate the best of young people’s film making across
the city. Representing more than just a glitz and glamour event, it will highlight the impact
film can have on raising educational standards and will provide schools with the opportunity
to be part of an event that will mark Leeds as a leading authority which supports,
encourages and endorses the creative endeavours of young people.
