Protools is a digital audio workstation developed and manufactured by Avid Technology. It is the industry standard used by professionals throughout the audio industries for recording and editing in music production, film scoring, film, and television post production.
The Pro Tools 101: Introduction to Pro Tools covers basic principles from initial digital studio set up to final mixdown. Whether your project involves the recording of live instruments, MIDI sequencing of software synths, or audio looping, 101 training is the first step towards mastery of the Pro Tools system.

Course Entry Requirements
Basic computer skills and some audio recording knowledge, such as a basic understanding of recording techniques, processes, and equipment.
Pro Tools 110: Essentials of Pro Tools provides a more detailed look at the Pro Tools system. This three-day course covers all the key concepts and skills needed to operate a Pro Tools system. The course provides the foundation for the later 200-series Pro Tools Music Production and Post Production courses.

The course duration is 3 days full time. The course is assessed by exam.
Course Entry Requirements
Basic computer skills, some audio recording knowledge, and some Pro Tools familiarity. Pro Tools 101: Introduction to Pro Tools is intended as a prerequisite for taking the 110 course. Passing the 101 exam is required before taking the 110 exam.
Please note that all courses are subject to a minimum number of students enrolling. Course dates will be scheduled when a minimum number of students have registered their interest. Course fees must be paid in full prior to the course start date.
The course gives you proof that you are certified by Digidesign, Discounts on selected Digidesign software and LE hardware, Digidesign Certification Directory listing, Courseware, and books for future reference.
If students have self studied Pro Tools 101 or 110, they can choose to attend College to take the exam. The cost for this is £50.
